2018 NTU vs Kyutech International Study Group

The College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) hosted the 1st international study group with School of Computer Science and Systems Engineering of Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) in Japan. The program started with 6 online discussions between students from both institutions during October to December in 2018. Then, from Dec. 14-16, Kyutech student group visited our college. Professor Kei Ohnishi and Miss Kikuko Fujinaka from Kyutech led 19 students to have face to face interaction with our students in this program. Kuei-Yuan Chan, Deputy Vice President of Office of Academic Affairs, Yao-Wen Chang, Dean of College of EECS, and Chien-Mo Li, Associate Director of Division of Faculty Development of Center for Teaching and Learning Development participated in the opening on December 14, 2018.

During this 3-day activity, students built even closer friendship during role play activity, campus tour, group discussion, and the DIY session. Their creative ideas inspired during earlier online discussions were demonstrated in their final presentation.

During the night tours and day trip, EECS students and Kyutech students visited many tourist attractions including a tour of history (North Gate, Taipei Post Office, West Gate and Red House Theater at Ximending), Din Tai Fung, Taipei 101, National Dr. Sun-Yat Sen Memorial Hall, Ningxia Night Market, Song-shan Cultural and Creative Park, Yongkang Street, Daan Park, Shilin Night Market, Dihua Street, Twatutia, Tamsui, Beitou, and Jiufen.
