The list is divided into two categories: Career-long Scientific Impact (1960–2024) and Single-year Scientific Impact (2024). Among our faculty, 56 were recognized for their career-long impact, while 29 were recognized for their 2024 single-year impact. Notably, 22 faculty members appeared on both lists, bringing the total number of awardees from our college to 63. This recognition highlights the outstanding academic achievements and contributions of our faculty, which have received international acclaim.
The World’s Top 2% Scientists list, compiled by a Stanford University research team, is based on the world’s largest citation abstract database, Scopus, and published by Elsevier’s Mendeley Data. Evaluation is conducted using six key indicators, including total citations, authorship as a single author, single/first author, and others, to identify the world’s top 2% scientists.
The 2024 update incorporates data up to the end of 2024 and calculates results using all Scopus authors as of August 1, 2025. Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification, which consists of two lists: Career-long Scientific Impact (1960–2024) and Single-year Scientific Impact (2024).
