In the second half of 2023 and early 2024, the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) arranged numerous events to foster international connections and expand its global partnerships.
For instance, on August 24, 2023, EECS held its first online Open Day, with Associate Dean Prof. Chi-Sheng Shih introducing the college and inviting department heads to share insights into their respective departments' features. The videos recorded on that day will also be uploaded to the YouTube platform for viewing in 2024.

Additionally, on February 20, 2024, EECS organized a welcome event for the spring semester of 2024, with nearly 40 students in attendance. Besides receiving an overview of the college, students also visited the laboratories of Prof. Homer Chen and Prof. Lung-Pan Cheng.

Regarding international collaborations, in addition to strengthening current partnerships, EECS also signed a new student exchange agreement with CentraleSupélec in France. In the future, EECS anticipates establishing a 3+2 degree program agreement with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Arizona State University. Moreover, in 2024, EECS plans to hold an online workshop with the University of Washington and organize a trilateral workshop with University of Tsukuba and Grenoble Alpleri Üniversitesi. Through these activities, EECS aims to form partnerships with more distinguished institutions and enhance its visibility on the international stage.
