College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
 

       Since the 1970s, industry related to electrical engineering and computer science in Taiwan has made a tremendous contribution to both the technological development and the economic growth of this country. The need for high-tech talents  has thus been increasing rapidly. In order to provide Taiwan with electrical engineering and computer science education, the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science continues to make great improvements every year.

      In August 2000, “the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science” (EECS) was born through the combination of the Department and Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering (EE) and Computer Science & Information Engineering (CSIE). The College of EECS is divided into the Advisory Committee, Division of Electrical Engineering, Division of Computer Science, and Communication Research Center. 
    
      The different departments and the various graduate institutes of “the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science” are committed to maintaining their leading role in industry and academia. The College has made its long-term prospective plan to recruit faculty members, strengthen facilities, and enhance research achievements. The main objective of the College is to become one of the best internationally recognized institutions of advanced science and technology.
